Position Summary: We are seeking an enthusiastic Senior Physiotherapist to join our orthopaedic team.
General
Responsibility:

The caseload involves the treatment of a variety of orthopaedic and spinal conditions, aswell as outpatient hydrotherapy. A Shift based system is worked to ensure a high quality service is provided to our inpatients, aswell as outpatient clinics. This is a static position within the orthopaedic service. The Wellington Hospital offers a comprehensive CPD programme and many opportunities for service and staff development

Requirements • Physiotherapy degree qualification or equivalent
• Health Professions Council Physiotherapy registration
• Member of Chartered Society of Physiotherapists or equivalent is desirable
• Member of professional interest group is desirable
• Evidence of postgraduate education and experience in the field of
orthopaedics
• Post registration broad clinical experience in neurology,
cardiorespiratory including tracheostomy management,
musculoskeletal/orthopaedics and general medicine/elderly care
• Knowledge and understanding of a wide range of approaches to the
management of patients with a diverse range of neurological
presentations, with appropriate treatment selection demonstrated through
developed clinical reasoning skills
• Orthopaedic Hydrotherapy experience is desirable
• Understanding and experience in the use of orthosis, supports and braces
used in the management of patients
• A clear understanding of clinical governance and risk
• Ability to comprehend and work within HCA’s policies including data
protection, equal opportunities, health and safety and manual handling to
meet the differing needs of the patient
• Ability to observe confidentiality at all times
• Ability to participate in weekend and weekend rotas and weekday on call
rotas
• Excellent spoken and written English
• Ability to work with Interpreters
• Ability to use a computer (Microsoft Word) and camcorder/digital camera.
