Position Summary: From April we will have a vacancy for a short term contract Senior I Physiotherapist within our busy inpatient team to cover maternity leave. The contract is approximately 4-5 months duration.

The post holder will have a key role providing the physiotherapy service to inpatients at the Princess Grace Hospital working within a small, friendly senior team.

You will be supported by the Inpatient Clinical Lead and the Physiotherapy Manager, while enjoying close working relationships with both the outpatient physiotherapy team and our Consultant staff.
General
Responsibility:

 Assessment and treatment of patients
 Achieve and maintain high standards of practice within the department
 Comply with legislative and hospital policies and procedure, ensuring patient safety
 Practice a high level of customer care
 Liaise with consultants, nursing staff and all departments as necessary to provide a comprehensive service for users
 Assist in staff orientation and training
 To report all equipment faults
 Assist with stock control
 Ensure all examination charges are captured
 Conduct oneself professionally at all times
 Ensure department is clean and tidy
 Maintain accurate patient records
 Participate in on call service

Requirements The successful applicant will have at least 4 years post-graduate experience, including experience in orthopaedics, medical/surgical and general inpatient settings. The department will offer you a robust inservice and Continuing Professional Development training programme and individual study leave and funding.
